A Note From A Parent………
“Our daughter has big dreams. As parents, we truly believed that if she put her head down and put the work in, she could have a chance to fulfill those dreams. We crossed our fingers in hopes that the recruiting process would be the next step in this journey. But when college coaches started calling her high school coach, we quickly realized that it was time to pick our heads up and figure out how to navigate this next chapter. That’s when we reached out to Missy.
We were not interested in working with a recruiting company - we wanted someone to invest their time and expertise with our child on a personal, individual basis. Missy spoke with us and our daughter about what each of our responsibilities were. She worked with our daughter to identify what she wanted out of this process, what her goals were, and what she was looking for in a college experience - both on and off the court. She conducted mock interviews so that our daughter could prepare herself to speak to coaches in a meaningful way. She challenged her to look into programs, and construct and send out emails to her schools of interest.
We started working with Missy two months ago. Since that time, the recruiting process has taken off. Our daughter has talked to coaches, coaches are responding to her emails, and even more are following her social media accounts. These same coaches are now tracking her progress at tournaments. Best yet, she is in communication with her top choice.
